PURPOSE OF THIS POSITION
The IS Clinical Applications Manager is responsible for managing the Clinical Applications Group and oversees the development, maintenance, support, and optimization of new and existing clinical applications.
JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES
Duty 1: Provides application support and direction for team analysts allowing them to work independently on projects, but understands the appropriate time for updates and assistance, as to effectively use resources in the IT team
Duty 2: Advises systems analyst personnel concerning administrative procedures, technical problems, and priorities. Assigns and monitors work of systems analysts, providing technical support and direction
Duty 3: Evaluates progress and results regarding group activities and goal attainment
Duty 4: Manages staff, including career development and resource planning
Duty 5: Develops and establishes departmental standards and procedures
Duty 6: Captains the project portfolio, including coordination with and reporting on projects to organization and management.
Duty 7:Collaborates with colleagues and business owners to identify needs and opportunities
Duty 8:Manages and prioritizes requests and project tasks assigned to the team, while ensuring workload is realistic and projects are delivered on time and on budget.
Duty 9:Conducts effective and meaningful meetings both inter and intra-departmentally. (agendas, minutes, time adherence and relevance
Duty 10:Provides guidance on purchase requests, application roadmap and standardization.
Duty 11: Manages service level agreements and provide metric reporting to leadership
Duty 12:Serves as a project manager on application projects as needed.
