Summary:The Introduction to Computers Instructor reports to the Associate VP of Workforce & Continuing Education who will assign location and hours of the Instructor activities. The Introduction to Computers Instructor provides academic instruction and student academic support for the assigned department. This position is responsible for teaching a curriculum to students that focuses on basic skills needed to operate a computer including terminology, Windows Operating System, and commonly used computer programs. This position may require instruction on-campus and or at an assigned off-campus location.

Education and/or Experience:Required
Preferred
Demonstrated interpersonal skills and ability to establish positive relationships with students, faculty, and staff. Demonstrated ability to work effectively with a diverse faculty, staff, and student body.
Reasoning Ability:Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
Computer Skills:To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of Internet software; Excel spreadsheet software, Word processing software and PowerPoint. Also, experience using Learning Management Systems (LMS) such as Canvas is a plus.
Certificates, Licenses, Registrations:Teaching (preferred)
