As an Integration & Automation Engineer in Research and Development you'll provide solutions and services that help our customers protect and control critical electrical infrastructure and power systems worldwide.

As an Integration & Automation Engineer, a typical day might include the following:

• Maintain advanced technical knowledge and skills to contribute to the development and enhancement of integration and automation features in SEL products.
  
• Define, develop and analyze product specifications, functional tests, and system validation processes.
  
• Diagnose customer reported problems with integration and communication features and document issues for developers.
  
• Provide technical and market analysis to evaluate proposed products or enhancements.
  
• Mentor Associate Engineers and Technicians.
  

This job might be for you if:

• You have a B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent.
  
• You have demonstrated experience with serial, Ethernet, and multiple communication protocols and their application in an electrical power system environment.
  
• You have 2+ years of experience in setup and configuration of a broad range of network devices and interfaces.
  
• You have 2+ years of experience at an electric utility, industrial plant, or engineering firm.
  
• You have the ability to work effectively and professionally with internal and external customers.
  
• You have 2+ years of experience in electric power SCADA or EMS practices.
  
• You have experience contributing to product development teams.

We anticipate filling this position as an Integration & Automation Engineer $75,000 - $108,000. We are open to reviewing additional candidates with more or less experience and the salary range may differ if filled at a different level. Our salary ranges are determined by job, responsibility, and location. We base our starting pay offer and title on location and job-related factors such as candidate experience, training, knowledge, and skills.
