The Information Systems Analyst II supports and enhances statewide court-related agencies by providing software installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting for PC and web-based applications. This role ensures operational efficiency, assists with database updates, and provides first-level technical support for PC hardware and local area networks. Working under general supervision, the analyst collaborates with internal teams, agency staff, and external stakeholders to ensure seamless IT operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Software and Systems Support

  • Provide ongoing support for software used by court-related offices and associated sites.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve software issues; escalate complex problems to advanced support or vendors.
  • Extract and distribute database updates to agencies as needed.
Hardware and Software Installation
  • Lead the installation and maintenance of PC hardware and software systems.
  • Develop and maintain schedules for software installations, upgrades, and support activities.
  • Prepare user instructions and documentation for software operations and upgrades.
Customer Service and Team Collaboration
  • Maintain a consistent, high-quality, customer-focused approach when addressing client and public needs.
  • Create and sustain a positive, high-performance work environment with a strong emphasis on teamwork.
  • Provide first-level administration and support for PCs and local area networks.
Knowledge and Process Improvement
  • Stay updated on trends and developments in the IT field, applying new knowledge to responsibilities.
  • Identify opportunities for improving operational efficiency and implement solutions.
Documentation and Training
  • Maintain accurate documentation and logs for all software, hardware, and support activities.
  • Plan and schedule work priorities for subordinate personnel, ensuring tasks are aligned with experience and workload.
Technical Leadership
  • Assist in network configuration and perform testing for new hardware, software, and network components.
  • Ensure adherence to security policies and procedures.
Entry Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field and one year of related experience OR
  • Associate degree in a related field and three years of related experience OR
  • Five years of related experience OR
  • One year at a lower-level position equivalent (ITP040).
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Ability to troubleshoot hardware and software issues, developing effective solutions.
  • Proficiency in IT principles and practices, including backup and recovery procedures.
  • Experience providing both on-site and remote technical support.
  • Familiarity with IT security policies and procedures.
  • Ability to configure and maintain network components, hardware, and applications.
  • Knowledge of agency-wide IT systems and network control procedures.
  • Skill in testing new hardware, software, and network applications.
  • Strong documentation and operational efficiency improvement skills.
