Job Details:
Applicants will be considered for any power jack start type opening on shift posted. Applicants will be considered for openings in any department that may include, but are not limited to, Shipping and Receiving. Must be available to work overtime and weekends if required. Must accept work in a cold and damp environment with temperatures ranging from 28 to 42 degrees. Jobs are fast-paced and require repetitive motion. Some positions require lifting, pushing, and pulling up to 40+ lbs. Material Handling and Receiving positions require lifting 70+ lbs. Constant standing, walking, and riding of powered material handling equipment. Specialized training for powered industrial trucks is required to be qualified within Tyson Foods, Inc.
Must have 3 months of operator experience listed on the application (Can be a combination of employers as long as experience is at least 3 months). Needs to be able to label, organize, and align pallets in cooler. Is required to become certified in both pallet jack and forklift operation. Selection will be based on knowledge, skills, and abilities within the company. Bidders will be considered based on the following criteria: Probationary Team Members will be considered if there are no non-probationary team members selected. Internal candidates will be considered first. If there are no qualified internal candidates selected, we will look at external applicants. If you are selected for this position and choose to decline, you will be ineligible to apply for another position for six months. Similarly, if you accept the position, you will not be eligible for lateral moves or positions with lower pay for six months; only promotions will be considered.
