Clinical Audiologist

Job Summary
Clinical hourly instructors are experienced audiologists with a documented area of expertise providing diagnostic audiological assessment and hearing aid services to individuals with normal hearing or with hearing loss. Instructors provide clinical education for graduate students in their area of expertise.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Direct observation of students in practicum according to ASHA specifications.
- Provide direct clinical teaching supervision to graduate and undergraduate students through practicum courses. Clinical teaching responsibilities include:
- Demonstration of strategies/techniques
- Modeling clinical/professional skills
- Weekly evaluation of student performance
Minimum QualificationsAuD or master's degree in audiology. Minimum 9 months practice experience post-graduation. Current ASHA Certification and current Illinois State Professional License. Documented audiological assessment and hearing aid experience.
Preferred QualificationsExperience supervising or teaching graduate students. Current ASHA Certification; have earned at least two hours of professional development post-certification (one-time requirement) in the area of supervision and/or clinical instruction.
Appointment Information This is a part time Academic Hourly position. This position is not eligible for benefits. The expected start date is as soon as possible after 10/31/2024. The hourly rate range is $40.00 to $50.00 per hour with final hourly rate based on experience and qualifications.
