The Tennessee College of Applied Technology - Dickson is accepting applications for the full-time position of Financial Support Associate 3 - Cashier/Bookstore for the Clarksville Campus. This is not a remote work position.

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

• High school diploma or equivalent required; technical diploma preferred.
• Minimum of one (1) year of full-time experience in customer service, cash-handling or sales.
• Must possess the communication skills necessary to effectively and tactfully interact with the public and employees at all levels.
• Intermediate computer skills with knowledge of MS Office applications.
• Good math skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced office environment.
• Ability to follow instructions and work with minimal direct supervision.

GENERAL DUTIES: The Financial Support Associate 3 will be responsible for a range of tasks in a fast-paced office setting. Duties will include, but are not limited to:

• Serving as primary cashier, balancing cash drawer daily, preparing and delivering bank deposits.
• Creating invoices and sales receipts for bookstore sales.
• Assisting bookstore manager with ordering, receiving, stocking and conducting inventory of items for sale.
• Pre-packaging then distributing books and supplies to students on start dates.
• Serving as back-up support for general purchasing approvals.
• General office tasks such as filing, creating reports, data entry, answering calls and e-mails, scanning/copying, submitting forms and documents in a timely manner, etc.
• Some travel may be required.

Scheduled work hours are Monday through Friday from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. This position reports to the Vice President of Fiscal Services.

WORKING CONDITIONS

Strength requirements (physical demands) - Mental and Visual Demand:

1. Sedentary work -- involves sitting some of the time; involves mobile accessibility to entire school and off-campus locations.
2. Requires mental and visual attention to detail.
3. Strength requirements - lift up to 50 pounds on occasion; lift, carry, push or pull objects occasionally.

SALARY: $28,449-$35,561 per year ($14.59-$18.24 per hour). Commensurate with Tennessee Colleges of Applied Technology salary guidelines, education and related experience.
