Professor or Associate Professor, Field Services Non-Tenure "Executive Director Cell & Therapy CenterThis rank is reserved for distinguished faculty members who have been recognized at local, regional, national, or international levels. The individual is expected to be actively involved in research and scholarship, which includes participating in clinical research and publishing their findings.
The role requires leading innovative research in the basic, translational, and clinical fields, as well as applying fundamental research to clinical applications. Furthermore, the individual will be responsible for training the next generation of leaders in translational research and fostering collaborations both locally and internationally. This position also entails taking on leadership responsibilities within departmental activities.
Qualifications:Associate Professor:- PhD or Medical Degree (MD/DO) or equivalent in a related research field.
- Appointment or eligibility for Associate Professor is required.
Professor:- PhD or Medical Degree (MD/DO) or equivalent in a related research field.
- At least five years of service as an Associate Professor or equivalent rank.
- Appointment or eligibility for professorship required.
Skills and Competencies:
- Communication: Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills.
- Diversity: Ability to engage with diverse populations.
- Analytical Ability: Strong skills to evaluate data and make informed judgments.
- Organization: Effective organizational and prioritization skills.
- Methodology: Knowledge of research methods, pathophysiology, and pharmacology.
- Professionalism: Ability to navigate a complex medical center effectively.
Responsibilities: Research, Teaching, and Training: Lead major research or teaching programs and mentor students and trainees while maintaining knowledge through continuing education.
Service and Administration: Oversee program integration and development while holding leadership roles in academic and professional spheres and contribute to departmental policies and strategic goals.
Scholarly Activity: Engage in advanced scholarly activities, publish original research, and secure grant funding while mentoring faculty in grantsmanship. Develop research programs that attract extramural support.
