Position Summary::Rowan-Cabarrus Community College is seeking an Early Education Liaison to help our early childhood education department. This one year grant funded position will serve as a liaison between the community college and childcare facilities in Cabarrus County and be responsible for managing and conducting communications with students concerning their enrollment and retention. In addition to serving as a liaison between the community college and childcare facilities, this position will provide program advisement for new and existing students, academic support, and resources such as referrals for tutoring to meet student educational needs. The EEL will visit child care facilities with an emphasis on the recruitment of early educators in all childcare facilities. The ELL will also provide oversight for the students in certificate, diploma, apprenticeship, or degree programs and help the student transition to a bachelor degree program once the program is complete. The EEL will collaborate with the Cabarrus Partnership for Children and the Cabarrus NC PreK Early Education Committee to continuously assess the educational needs of Cabarrus County Early Educators.

Early Childhood
Work Hours::At least 40 hours per week are spent in the following: direct contact with the community, preparation, and evaluation of effectiveness; accessibility to students; committee assignments; advising and service to the college and community.
