Position Summary

DESCRIPTION:
The Director of Graduate and Professional Learner Service will be innovative and growth-minded. The position will collaborate with faculty, campus colleagues and community partners by supporting academic operations for graduate, professional, and online programs and will also help develop policies, processes, and operations for supporting graduate, professional, and online learners' academic and professional success. Through these efforts, the Director will support the continual growth and improvement of graduate and professional programs at York College.

OUTCOMES:
The position is expected to diversify and grow the college's enrollment and revenue, provide the necessary infrastructure to meet the learning needs of current and future graduate and professional learners, and create institutional capacities to deliver new programming for graduate and professional learners.

Essential Functions

  • Collaborate with campus colleagues to help to develop systems that track learner engagement after admission through graduation. (15%)
  • Collaborate with relevant faculty and administrators to develop processes for assessing prior learning and applying credit for that learning. (15%)
  • Utilize data to identify opportunities to improve retention and program completion with faculty and colleagues from collaborating offices across the campus. (10%)
  • Collaborate with colleagues in the Business, Registrar, and Enrollment Offices to work toward a cohesive and supportive experience for students. (10%)
  • Collaborate with faculty and academic leadership in graduate and professional programs to support operations for graduate and professional learners. (10%)
  • Manage non-credit certificate enrollments. (10%)
  • Assist in programmatic assessment for external accreditors. (5%)
  • Developing new community and employer partners for the college. (5%)
  • Support the office of enrollment on graduate and professional recruitment events. (5%)
  • Plan operations for events and initiatives with both the Office of Graduate and Professional Programs and the College. (5%)
  • Developing and entering the graduate and professional online schedule. (5%)
  • Respond to enrolled student inquiries and questions. (5%)
  • Experience and Education Required

  • Three or more years of leadership experience in higher education operations and/or student services
  • Three or more years of experience supporting adult and/or online learners
  • Experience with project management and/or systems design
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Customer-service oriented approach to student engagement
  • Proficiency with institutional database systems
  • Proficiency with Office Suite tools
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Data collection and presentation
  • Event planning
  • Ability to work independently or with little supervision
  • Ability to organize and prioritize multiple assignments, and willingness to work some night and weekend hours as needed
