We are seeking Master's and PhD students majoring in Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or a related quantitative science fields for a 12-Week Student Intern role in Gaithersburg, MD for a May 19th - August 8th contract period.
Position Duties
- Develop an agentic chatbot for integrating unstructured and structured data within biopharmaceutical development group.
- Investigate the benefits of graph-based approaches (GraphRAG) in chatbot development.
- Compare different fine-tuning approaches and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) models to enhance the chatbot's performance.
Position Requirements- Master's and PhD students majoring in Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, or a related quantitative science field.
- Candidates must have an expected graduation date after August 2025.
- Proficiency in Python, SQL, and Cypher/SPARQL is essential.
- Strong understanding of large language models (LLMs), foundational models, and RAG models is necessary.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) is required.
- Familiarity with GraphRAG and Knowledge Graphs is ideal.
- Enthusiasm for collaboration, cross-functional projects, public speaking, and presentation design.
- US Work Authorization is required at time of application.
- This role will not be providing OPT support.
- Ability to report onsite to Gaithersburg, MD for 3-5 days a week. This role can provide relocation assistance to non-local candidates in need.
- Minimum grade point average of 3.0
