Summary

Assists in the research and collection of data for the Pediatric Hematology/Oncology Program at Tulane University, including programming related to the Sickle Cell Center of Southern Louisiana and the Hematology/Oncology service line at Children's Hospital New Orleans. The Data Control Specialist position will be directly responsible for data entry and data management by using available programs and provided procedures to maintain and manipulate information in the form of databases. The employee will also conduct data analysis using the provided procedures and programs available from statistical software packages designed for research.

Required Qualifications

* Bachelor's Degree

Preferred Qualifications

* One year experience in management of databases using REDCap* Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Statistics, Mathematics, Biostatistics, Public Health or related* Proficiency in statistical analysis software (SPSS, SAS, or STATA), as well as the Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).* Experience with research (development of research questions and study design/protocol development) and conducting statistical analyses of clinical measures/biostatistics* Familiarity with drafting of tables and or figures for publication of research findings
