What will you be doing?
As innovators in Big Data starting with POS, Circana is looking for professional and sharp analytic minds to execute, analyze and present findings to our Consumer-Packaged Goods (CPG) client's category management and brand and trade marketing groups. Use your energy and motivation to evaluate research data, find key points, and recommend action steps to directly impact the bottom line for our clients. Do you have those abilities? This Consultant role supports the Tobacco Industry clients both within and outside of the United States. This is a unique opportunity to join a high-performing team and leverage data, analytics, and insights to inform growth strategy and address other critical business issues for a dynamic and successful company. We seek candidates with previous market research, consumer packaged goods (CPG), or marketing services experience along with a keen interest in analyzing data to reveal actionable insights into consumers, shoppers, retailers, and in-market performance. Must have strong analysis, storytelling, and communication skills along with proven in-market ownership of client portfolio of business.
Job Responsibilities
Client Insights Analysts at Circana possess and execute upon four key skill sets:
- Analytic Capability: Use a systematic approach to solving problems that involve breaking it into smaller pieces, tracking the implications of situations, generating multiple alternatives, and making comparisons of potential solutions before taking action.
- Quality Control: Drive to achieve high-quality results through effective data integrity.
- Planning and Organizing: Determine effort and resources required to meet objectives; able to plan, coordinate and manage resources effectively to ensure task completion.
- Client Focus: Consistently act with client satisfaction in mind and follow through on commitments to ensure the needs of the client are met.
- Budget achievement ownership for clients and accounts on an annualized basis in alignment with solution business development strategies.
What will you need in order to be successful?Advanced Analytic Skills: Demonstrated ability to independently conceive, manage, and deliver fact-based analyses which provide clients with fresh, actionable insights to inform strategy.
- Adept at quickly recognizing and understanding client needs and desired outcomes; comfortable asking discovery and scoping questions when needed.
- Instinctive ability to envision mutually beneficial outcomes and proactively conceive analysis project plans and structure client deliverables.
- Skillfully applies different data sets and metrics to address issues, leading to clear, fact-based responses to client needs.
- Ability to help teammates improve their deliverables and contribute to the team's thought leadership output.
- Recognizes opportunities to utilize Circana subject matter experts to address client needs and effectively partners with colleagues and clients to pursue, leveraging their superior client knowledge to achieve mutual wins.
Consultative Selling: Apply knowledge of the client, marketplace dynamics, and Circana capabilities to identify, pursue, and close business opportunities.
- Target and sell services that address expressed (and sometimes unexpressed) client needs; ask questions to identify the root causes of issues versus symptoms.
- Work effectively with cross-functional partners to develop correct solutions, tightly linking client needs to Circana capabilities and helping to deliver clear, compelling proposals.
- Manage selling process and coordinate Circana SMEs to ensure the project is delivered successfully.
Impactful Presence: Demonstrate strong interpersonal communication and presentation skills; present a professional image.
- Gain the trust of clients, Circana cross-functional partners, and other stakeholders, and be perceived as a domain expert and valued business partner.

Financial Acumen: Demonstrate strong financial acuity with internal and external tracking needs that support return on investment, profitability, business target goals and objectives across portfolios.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience with syndicated data, analytics, category management, or related fields
- Marketing and/or sales with a premier Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) company or other companies using syndicated or POS data
- Demonstrated expertise in translating data and analysis into relevant implications
- Experience with syndicated data
- Strong project management and process skills
- Able to engage in consultative manner with clients when helping solve/manage content deliverables
- Active usage of CRM tools such as Microsoft Dynamics or Sales Force

Location - This position can be located in the following area(s): Remote
The below range reflects the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. An employee's position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs. The salary range for this role is $130,000 to $165,000.
This job is also eligible for 10% bonus pay.
