FUNCTION:

Initiate and build customer relationships. Develop new markets for service and construction in Upper Michigan Share technical expertise to assist department supervisors in design/build and estimating needs.

ORGANIZATIONAL:

Report to department manager. Support the development of department supervisors. Collaborate with peers and support personnel across the company to reach goals.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Safety/Hazard Recognition & Elimination:
Pre-plan and identify the methods to eliminate hazards daily by work task.

Ensure the 22 OSHA skill sets are learned and understood.

Demonstrate skill in observing habits and hazards of others and bringing it to their attention.

Personnel Development:

Education:

Sales/Marketing:
Prospect for leads continually.Have at least 5 new prospects going at all times.Increase branch sales by 10% per year by contacting and meeting with new and existing customers.

Document outside sales calls for monthly review by department manager.

Promote branch/market-specific sales flyers for industry, and commercial.

Educate yourself about Pieper and our capabilities.

Educate customers about Pieper's capabilities.

Assist other departments in electrical design and estimating as needed.

Account for all time spent on sales calls and departmental assistance.
Access your development needs and plan with your supervisor for incorporation into your development plan.Always be growing and improving both yourself and your entire team.
Participate in employee continuing education in-house or through outside programs.Achieve the minimum required hours per level.Management 1 - 4 (40 hours); 5 - 7 (100 hours); 8 - 9 (200 hours); 10 (250 hours).
