Caterpillar is seeking a 6 Sigma Black Belt in Brooklyn Park, MN. In this role, you will be collaborating with world-class cross-functional teams to improve processes and systems to lean out all forms of waste and streamline manufacturing operations and support. Further, you will analyze and recommend current and future value stream changes to optimize efficiencies while positively impacting both Safety and Quality performance as well.

What you can look forward to in this role:

• Collaborate closely with Manufacturing and Quality Engineering teams to support sustainable process improvement by diagnosing complex business problems and providing recommended changes to deliver positive results through LEAN implementations.
• Manage multi-generational project plans, ensuring they are updated and revised regularly.
• Use 6 Sigma and project management methodologies to execute LEAN process transformations.
• Lead, coach, teach and develop others to use LEAN tools and methodologies to drive sustainable continuous improvement.
• Plan and execute Kaizen events.

A successful candidate in this role will showcase their skills in:

• Influencing: Knowledge of effective influencing tactics and strategies; ability to impact decisions within and outside own organization.
• Process Improvement: Understanding and insight into evaluating current product quality and production methods and ability to maintains focus on the continuous improvement of processes, products and services.
• Six Sigma Methodology : Knowledge of the concepts of six sigma DMAIC (Define, Measure, Analyze, Improve and Control) methodology; ability to use the methodology to improve the manufacturing processes and control the improvements by eliminating root causes.
• Project Management: Knowledge of effective project management strategies and tactics; ability to plan, organize, monitor, and control projects, ensuring efficient utilization of technical and administrative resources to achieve project objectives.

Top Candidates for this position may also have:

• A bachelor's degree in a technical curriculum
• Experience working on engineering-related projects.
• Experience evaluating process and technical solutions.
• Project management experience.
• Significant experience working with SAP and related systems
• Significant experience or knowledge in Lean Manufacturing.
• 6 Sigma Green Belt certification
• Demonstrated problem-solving skills.
• The ability to influence others without direct authority.
• Power BI and Power Apps Experience

Summary Pay Range:
$110,520.00 - $165,840.00
Compensation and benefits offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, job level, market location, job-related knowledge, skills, individual performance and experience. Please note that salary is only one component of total compensation at Caterpillar.
