As a Harding service embedded in the Emergency Departments, PES provides comprehensive mental health & substance use evaluations, crisis assessments, and short-term psychotherapy to patients presenting with psychiatric emergencies. Our team assists patients & families with links to inpatient, partial, and outpatient services for adults through Harding Hospital and other services in the community.

The PES Clinician-STAR TRC is a dual role that helps to link trauma victims to resources within the Victims of Crime Assistance (VOCA) program as well as completing crisis evaluations as a part of PES. This role helps to facilitate the entire patient intake process both within the OSU EDs and across the Medical Center. This includes the VOCA screening, clinical assessment, triage, and linking patients with appropriate services. We believe in evidence-based psychiatric, trauma, crisis, and risk assessments & intervention. As a member of our team, you will assess patient needs, and coordinate linkage with vital services and resources.
