Duties: Directly recruit and supervise the dentists and provide clinical direction to the Operations Director and clinical outreach staff. Devise strategies and plans for excellent service and growth. Oversee regulatory compliance, safety and standards of care. Develop, maintain and implement formal clinic policies and procedures.
Guide dentists and professional staff to deliver consistent standards of care according to policies. Assure clinical practices are above reproach and of the highest quality. Evaluate the professional staff to insure performance goals related to production, clinical quality and regulatory compliance are met.
Participate in management meetings and annual planning processes to support the School's objectives and implementation of the strategic plan. Collaborate with the Operations Director and other clinic management to ensure smooth operation of clinic and programs including: staffing and patient visit ratios; scheduling; and cost-benefit programs. Advise on facilities and equipment purchases and repairs
Chair Dental Advisory Committee to enhance working relationships with referral sources and the University. Conduct quality assurance reviews each quarter. Assisting in the preparation of an operating budget for PDFP in conjunction with the Chief Financial Officer. Assist in the coordination and integration of the School's dental programs and services for the welfare of the patient and community.
Oversee and act as resource advisor to the Dean and management of the School for student extramural events. Provide program oversight, regulatory and contractual compliance, and rigorous review of extramural programs and events (both locally and globally).
Provide timely and impactful reporting on key metrics and financial results. Implement empirical based decision making methodologies as part of routine processes.
Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications: DDS or DMD degree required
Current license to practice dentistry. Must be eligible to practice in Pennsylvania without any restrictions
Minimum 7-10 years clinical experience at a dental practice with leadership and direct supervisory, performance management and operational effectiveness experience.
