Position Summary:

Teach and mentor student-athletes to develop self confidence and leadership abilities as they work towards achieving their goals through individual hard work. Provide the leadership and direction for a highly competitive NCAA Division I athletic program, maintain a balance with academic excellence and uphold the standards of the university and the Athletic Department. Create and maintain a positive, nurturing environment for the student-athletes to advance their knowledge and skills, both athletically and personally. Collaborate with the men's team, as needed, in support of the entire William & Mary Gymnastics Program.

Conditions of Employment:

* Must meet physical requirements for the job, including the ability to participate in and lead strenuous physical activities.
* Must work nights and weekends.
* Frequent overnight travel during week and on weekends on a monthly basis through out the year.
* Prolonged period of sitting and standing indoors and infrequent exposure to outside weather conditions.
* Have and maintain a valid Driver's License and satisfactory completion of University van safety training within 6 months of employment.

Required Qualifications:

* Bachelor's degree and significant or extensive professional level of experience or specialized expertise.

Competencies:
* Skills or competencies related to the sport through previous playing and/or coaching experience;
* Demonstrated leadership abilities gained through prior playing and/or coaching experience in the sport;
* Demonstrated attention to detail and strong organizational, written and verbal communication skills;
* Demonstrated ability to lead small and large group discussions;
* Strong computer skills and the ability to utilize the latest advances in technology.

* Collegiate playing and/or coaching experience

Up to $40,000
