Key Responsibilities
The Associate Director of Commercial Learning & Development is primarily responsible for the successful identification, development, and execution of all IMMUNOCORE US Commercial Field Team training needs. The position requires ability to determine training needs of the team in collaboration with US Commercial Leadership, determine best path to development and design of training materials and tools, and execution to field-based team that includes oncology account management and market access. As part of our Immunocore Commercial Extended Leadership Team, the role will collaborate with cross-functional internal partners (Field Leadership, marketing, medical, regulatory, legal/compliance, human resources) along with external business partners to develop overall learning and development strategy, as well as ensure executional excellence aligned with Company business targets and Brand initiatives. The role will also coordinate with Human Resources to assist in the induction of new US Commercial Field Team members.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
* Subject matter expert on oncology marketplace, disease state and product(s)
* Leadership and Management:
o Provides coaching, mentorship and management to professional and managerial employees for the US
Commercial Field team
o Mentor and coach during field visits. Collaborates with Field Leadership to develop coaching plans for each
individual in field.
o Keeps current of industry trends, regulatory changes, and advancements in biotech to ensure training is relevant
and up-to-date
o Manage the training budget, ensuring cost-effective use of resources
o Has Advanced people management skills. Adept at managing and reacting to changing priorities while
maintaining team investment and motivation.
o Uses effective coaching skills and ensuring training is fit for task.
o Has the confidence and experience to recognize and challenge limiting beliefs and mindsets.
o Inspires, motivates, and creates a clear sense of collective purpose.
o Creates a safe environment where others can make mistakes and learn from them.
* Curriculum Development:
o Develops, implements and maintains a comprehensive oncology training curriculum that aligns with core
competencies that supports Company strategy, goals and tactics
o Develops curriculum that supports key competencies of Field Team including selling techniques, disease/product
knowledge, business acumen, and account management
o Oversees and creates all training content across multiple modalities that support adult learning
o Assess, identify, and oversee external business partners needed to ensure development of robust training
content and platforms for ongoing training
o Engages with Field Team Leadership throughout development process to ensure alignment with Company's
identified needs
* Training Execution:
o Facilitates all training activities (live, virtual, platform) by being well-prepared, organized, and via environment
that maximizes learning objectives
o Delivers curriculum from onboarding new hires to all existing field team roles
o Supports logistical training requirements such as scheduling, facilities coordination, and material printing
o Expert in advanced account management skills and all field-related materials
o Evaluates competency levels of training participants and provides timely feedback
o Researches, develops and disseminates post-event evaluations, post-training support and reinforcement tools to
sustain behavioral change and drive improved performance and business outcomes.
o Conducts leader or facilitator training for all developed content and provides support, as needed
* Training Identification:
o Conducts ongoing training needs analyses through field visits, cross-functional feedback (Leadership, Marketing,
Medical, et al), and brand-related needs
o Collaborates with Field Leadership to determine specific metrics and measurements to assess success of
training activities
o Coordinate with IT and Operations to identify and analyze data requirements to manage training and
development

OTHER DUTIES
* Develop and monitor key performance indicators and metrics (i.e. dashboards) to assess impact of training activities
* Understand and adhere to regulatory, legal, and compliance guidelines relevant to oncology commercial field teams

PERSON SPECIFICATION
EXPERIENCE AND KNOWLEDGE
* At least 14 years of work experience in the healthcare field, including significant experience in hospital or account-based selling and training facilitation
* At least 3 years of training experience required, leadership role preferred
* Experience in oncology or rare disease marketplace, buy-and-bill product support preferred
* Certification in training or instructional design is a plus, including e-learning platforms
* Drive for self-development, the ability to collaborate, and an action-oriented work ethic

ESSENTIAL COMPETENCIES
* Excellent communication, facilitation, and presentation skills
* Highly competent in account-based selling skills in complex customer environments
* Proficient in business software applications (MS Office Suite including Powerpoint, Excel, Outlook), visualization to tools (PowerBI, Tableau), Concur, and VEEVA
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
* Self-motivated, ability to work independently and without significant management oversight
* Strong leadership and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
* Able to provide succinct, strategic, and actionable insights to senior management
* Combination of strong short- and long-term strategic thinking with the ability to execute tactical plans
* Ability and desire to work in a fast-paced environment and open to taking on related responsibilities

Education & qualifications
Bachelor's degree required, advanced degree preferred, additional scientific experience/degree a plus

Overnight travel is expected approximately 40% of the time.

Annual salary range:
This position is eligible for standard Company benefits, including medical, dental, vision, time off and 401k, as well as participating in Immunocore's annual incentive plans. Incentive plans are contingent on achievement of personal and company performance. Actual compensation may vary from posted hiring range based upon geographic location, work experience, education, and/or skill level.
