Who You Are
Associate Director, Clinical Lead. We•re looking for a senior consultant that brings a combination of a scientific background in biochemistry or a related field, (or experience as a clinician such as an NP or PA), and life sciences market research experience (client or agency) who can quickly learn new life sciences therapeutic areas, and upskill others in clinical accounts, with a particular emphasis in oncology. We•re looking for someone who has mastered the languages of physicians and market researchers; equally comfortable in the hard sciences and the social sciences. We are looking for someone who loves to train others: part of your role will be to develop 3-4 others into clinically-inclined market research consultants (demonstrating comfort in the hard sciences and the social sciences) in your first 12 months on the job.

Base salary range for this role is $100,000 - $125,000. If this is not the right range for you, please check out our other openings. This position is 100% remote (you must be based in the United States).

What You•ll Do

Client Work (80% of time)

  • Run market research and related customer experience projects end to end
    • Lead client discussions to define objectives by actively listening and asking the right questions
    • Conduct in-depth research (and coach others to conduct research) by using a range of techniques in to uncover answers to client problems; you should have familiarity with a range of qualitative methodologies as well as with survey writing; experience with Qualtrics is desirable.
    • Write and/or review persuasive reports and deliverables; display versatility in writing styles and formats (e.g., from quick team emails to C-suite communications), effectively adapting your writing to diverse audiences
    • Deliver recommendations to senior clients (who may not be your day-to-day contact) on how to apply customer-inspired-growth
    • (Not required, but desirable) Moderate live (video) interviews with healthcare providers when needed, crafting incisive discussion guide that respect physicians• time and interests while focusing on our clients• business objectives
  • Be a trusted consultant to your clients
    • Bring your expertise. You will bring your clinical expertise to our clients• business by quickly upskilling on new therapeutic areas through reading and understanding academic papers, scientific literature and clinical trial data.
    • Immerse in your client•s business and therapeutic area, and physician realities, to bring proactive ideas to your clients.
    • Build strong relationships. In partnership with your teams, create trusted relationships with senior level clients that drive great work and account growth.
    • Uncover the opportunity. Create space to listen, plan, and workshop with your clients at the start of the engagement and check-in throughout
    • Bring the brief. Leveraging our thought leadership and integrated services, grow the business by regularly uncovering opportunities to deliver value across your clients• organizations
Train Others (10% of time)
  • Upskill the wider health team in gaining comfort with academic papers, scientific literature and identifying the key pieces of information needed in order to create valuable research and deliver scientific consulting related to what pharma organizations care about and need to understand, with a particular focus in oncology.
  • Develop talent. Develop 3-4 of our existing team members into more clinically comfortable consultants by training/teaching through the work how to properly immerse and understand client needs within more clinically-oriented therapeutic areas, and deliver work that drives impact and leads to trusted relationships.
  • Codify practices/approaches for category upskilling. Work with managers, HR and L&D colleagues to identify opportunities for new skill development, performance excellence and career growth
Support Business Development (10% of time)
  • Review proposals. To ensure clinical proposals demonstrate scientific rigor and expertise
  • Join pitches. Join new business pitches and support the sale internally by upskilling colleagues and bringing your expertise to clients in live meetings.

  • Base salary range for this role is $100,000 - $125,000 (determined by level of experience)
