The Department of Structural and Cellular Biology at Tulane University School of Medicine is seeking applications for a research track Assistant Professor position in liver disease research. We invite candidates with a strong background in liver disease research pathophysiology to apply. The successful candidate will have a demonstrated record of research excellence in liver research, specifically cholestatic liver disease (alcohol associated liver disease and metabolic dysfunction associated with liver disease) and will be expected to establish an independent, extramurally funded research program. The position provides an exciting opportunity to collaborate with multidiscinary teams, access state-of-the-art facilities, and contribute to mechanistic and translation research efforts in liver disese.
Candidates should have a Ph.D., M.D., or equivalent in the relevant field.
Postdoctoral research experience with a focus on cholestatic liver disease.
Strong publication record in the field of liver research.
Commitment to excellence in mentoring and service.
