The Department of Molecular and Integrative Physiology seeks candidates who will develop a vibrant and independent research program in the area of neuroinflammation. We are particularly interested in research programs that explore the molecular, cellular, and physiological basis of neuroinflammation and its dysfunction in neurological conditions, including neurodegenerative diseases, hyperexcitability disorders, psychiatric disorders, stroke, and traumatic brain injury. The development of a strong interdisciplinary research program using cutting- edge technologies including "Big data", "omics", single-cell analysis, neuronal circuitry mapping, novel genetic tools, and/or high-resolution in vivo imaging, should be a high priority.

Candidates must hold a Ph.D., M.D or equivalent, in physiology, neuroscience, or closely related field, have a track record of research creativity and productivity, and potential for future independent research. The target starting date is August 16, 2025. Successful candidates will be located in the department of Molecular and Integrative Physiology within the School of MCB. The candidate will be expected to conduct independent research, participate in our undergraduate and Ph.D. programs, and teach effectively at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
