Description:
Our enterprise client is currently seeking a Site Reliability Engineer. This is a contract-to-hire role, and is hybrid in Jersey City. The following are some details about the job;
Desired qualifications:
- 7-8 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
- 2-3 years of hands-on experience with AWS. An AWS certification is highly desirable.
- Experience with Grafana.
- Background in DevOps, specifically around release management and monitoring tools such as Maven, Docker, and Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with Azure and Google Cloud platforms.
- Proficiency in Unix/Linux Shell Scripting.
- Experience with databases, specifically SQL and MySQL.
- Coding skills in Python and Go.
**About the job:**
As a Site Reliability Engineer, you'll have the opportunity to help with the stability of the production environment for our large enterprise client.
**Responsibilities:**
- Design, code, test, and deliver software to automate manual operational work
- Troubleshoot priority incidents, facilitate blameless post-mortems, and ensure permanent closure of incidents
- Engage with the development team throughout the life cycle to help develop software for reliability and scale, ensuring minimal refactoring or changes
- Identify application patterns and analytics in support of better service level objectives
- Design self-healing and resiliency patterns
- Design automated software and product upgrades, change management, and release management solutions
- Coach or manage teams as applicable
- Participate in the 24x7 support coverage as needed
