Position Overview
Assists with the implementation and execution of annual giving programs and scholarships under the direction of the Director of Donor Relations. Manage the university's crowdfunding platform and collaborate with departments and divisions across campus to achieve successful crowdfunding campaigns. Oversee student philanthropy, including the Centralite Society. The Scholarship and Stewardship Specialist assists with the management of the online scholarship platform. This role will coordinate the application and selection process, communicate with recipients, maintain scholarship records, and provide support to students and staff regarding scholarships. Additionally, they may be responsible for promoting scholarship opportunities, conducting outreach to potential applicants, and collaborating with various departments to ensure effective scholarship administration.
Job Duties
- Manage student philanthropy campaigns including the Centralite Society to educate students about the importance of giving back to UCO. Includes recruiting, managing and motivating student volunteers, developing marketing and solicitation materials.
- Assist with annual giving fundraising including but not limited to direct mail, phone, email, and crowdfunding.
- Assists with managing the online scholarship platform that includes processing new scholarships and funds, ensuring scholarship criteria are correct and match donors' intentions, overseeing the committee review process, assisting with all awarding processes, and communicating with students regarding scholarship application requirements and awards.
- Assists with pulling awarding reports for the Director of Financial Services.
- Provide support for the Annual Fund, Presidential Partners program, Faculty and Staff Campaign, and any other annual giving or stewardship programs. This includes, but is not limited to, writing, and printing processes for direct mail, telephone, websites, social media, events, acting as a spokesperson and any related personal visits determined necessary.
- Strategize, expand, and execute annual giving programs for students and parents.
- Manage the crowdfunding site and help internal organizations utilize and implement crowdfunding projects.
- Create, in conjunction with the Engagement Team, distinctive marketing materials and non-solicitation communications for the Annual Giving programs and giving societies. This will include membership packets, direct mail appeals, invitations to events and other related materials.
- Contribute to stewardship and engagement events within Foundation and Alumni Engagement.
- Helps establish and monitor annual operating budget for all annual giving programs.
- Assist with managing the annual calendar of proposed events and communications with the Engagement Team.
- Develops and nurtures formal and informal relationships with a wide circle of people beyond those involved in current activities, including potential donors, stakeholders, and information links; encourages collaboration among colleagues, departments, and the entire organization to achieve results.

Qualifications/Experience Required
Bachelor's degree in job related field or 2+ years of work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Must have a valid driver's license, clean driving record, and be able to operate a typical motor vehicle.
Qualifications/Experience Preferred
1-3 years of experience in professional work setting with preference given to candidate with fundraising/development, nonprofit management, or other charitable giving program experience. Above-average computer knowledge and experience with the ability to learn and utilize new software efficiently. Excellent command of the Windows environment including proficiency in the entire Microsoft Office Suite, as well as database experience. Understanding of social media platforms.
