Who You'll Work With
Slalom Phoenix is seeking a Senior Consultant-Principal level talented, self-starting Solution Owner to lead the discovery and implementation phases of complex projects for Slalom-built solutions. As a Solution Owner you will lead large, multi-work stream projects with multi-functional teams, with a focus on exemplary quality assurance, excellent client relationships and demonstrated thought leadership. Your primary responsibilities include defining project delivery roadmaps and financials, hands-on management of complex projects with multiple work streams and strong partnerships with clients.
What You'll Do
- Lead delivery of large-scale, complex software projects/program involving multiple teams, locations, and stakeholders, driving projects from inception to completion.
- Define and work within an agile project governance framework (e.g. establish team cadence, run Scrum ceremonies, facilitate backlog refinement sessions, etc.) along with robust continuous monitoring of project health.
- Act as the central point of contact between client stakeholders and project teams across locations (onshore/nearshore), managing the end-to-end delivery process while ensuring seamless coordination across teams.
- Lead a cross-functional agile software delivery team, managing risks, issues, and dependencies across different teams and stakeholders, ensuring that mitigation plans are in place and executed.
- Act as the primary point of contact for internal and client stakeholders, managing expectations and ensuring continuous communication on project status, risks, issues and health to keep all stakeholders aligned.
- Be the functional and subject matter authority for the solution being developed for the client
- Develop and manage program financials including forecasting, profitability, invoicing, and expense management.
- Become a trusted advisor to the client, with a deep understanding of their organization, and help determine potential project impact, and to tailor the project approach, plan and deliverables accordingly.
- Solution with clients when they share business, technology and delivery needs, leading to increased value for the client organization.
What You'll Bring
- 7-10+ years of consulting experience in iterative software development as a Program Lead, Engagement Lead, Scrum Master, Program Manager, Project Manager, or similar role
- Demonstrated experience in leading large-scale, complex projects with cross-functional teams across multiple locations, with a commitment to continuous improvement and building trusted client relationships
- Ability to serve as a liaison between both business and technical teams to drive effective, timely solutions that fulfill both strategic and operational needs
- Skills defining and documenting business and functional requirements for ongoing system improvement initiatives in iterative software development environments
- Strong experience in delivering projects using Agile, Kanban, or hybrid methodologies
- Experience leading all Agile ceremonies including: sprint planning, review, demo, stand-up and refinement sessions.
- Experience in proposal and RFP development
