In order to ensure your application is complete, you must complete the following:The postgraduate Surgical Oncology Fellowship for advanced practice nurses and physician assistants at The Ohio State University Comprehensive Cancer Center - Arthur G. James Cancer Hospital and Richard J. Solove Research Institute (OSUCCC - James) enables advanced practice nurses and physician assistants to gain first-hand clinical experience with a focus on care of the surgical patient in a variety of settings including inpatient, outpatient, and the operating room. Rotations include, but are not limited to, reconstructive surgery, gynecologic oncology, breast, gastrointestinal, ENT/Head and neck, melanoma, thoracic, orthopedic oncology, sarcoma and urology. Applicants should have first assist certification as an RN/NP or PA license.
Position Summary:
The Advanced Practice (APP) Fellow provides health care services to adult patients working in collaboration with a licensed member of CHRI medical staff. Health care services provided include care during acute phases of illness, education and counseling of individuals and families.
Minimum Qualifications:
Current license and certificate of authority to practice as a CNP in the State of Ohio. Graduate of a Nurse Practitioner program that qualifies the graduate to sit for the certification examination of a national certifying organization recognized by the Ohio Board of Nursing. Masters degree in Nursing. AGACNP preferred
OR
Graduation from an accredited physician assistant program. National Certification Commission for Physician Assistant certification. Eligibility for State of Ohio licensure as a physician assistant. Masters degree
