The Department of Psychology at the University of Miami invites applications for a full-time, tenure-eligible, or tenure-track faculty member to join our department's Health Division in August 2025. The specific area is open, though we are especially interested in a person with interests in cardiovascular and/or metabolic health. Area(s) of focus could include, but are not limited to, clinical or population research on stress/adversity processes, social determinants of health including socioeconomic status, protective social/cultural factors and/or biopsychosocial mechanistic studies of cardiovascular/metabolic health or disparities, or basic science including metabolomics.
We seek candidates who use diverse methods to address their questions, including lab-based experimental psychophysiology, behavioral lifestyle interventions, psychosocial intervention, public health and population sciences approaches, and/or mobile health and digital assessment and intervention technologies. Candidates with interests in data science, including using advanced quantitative methods, and qualitative methods are encouraged to apply. The Department of Psychology is a vibrant, collaborative community that includes clinical and psychological sciences faculty across Adult, Cognitive and Behavioral Neuroscience, Child, and Health Divisions. The mission of the Department is to acquire, advance, and disseminate knowledge within the Psychological and Biobehavioral Sciences, supported through excellent graduate programs and state-of-the-art facilities.
